Filming Music Video Blog #2

Over the course of the past Thanksgiving break, I have filmed my entire Music Video. I played the actor as well as director, with assistance from my family members.   Few things were changed that strayed from the original idea. The first change that strayed from the original idea was the location of the music video. Originally the idea was to film the music video at a motel however the place that I had asked prior permission did not have any more available rooms. So the only option left was to do the backup a concept which was the empty room at my peers' house. However, even though I used a different location I still believe I created a decent product.  Another thing that changed was the props. The props that were not used were chains and the handcuffs however tape and rope were still used. Another thing that was changed was that I also used paint to resemble blood.
The first scenes that were shot were the introduction scenes. Those scenes were the hardest and took most of the time while shooting. The first intro scene was the easiest to film. Since I was the actor it consisted of me walking into the room with tape covering my mouth as well as binding my hands together. Then it was me falling down against the wall slowly It was filmed at a tilt. The second intro scene that I shot was an establishing shot of the entire room. Another intro shot that I also filmed was a pan of me doing nothing. I also filmed a close-up. Another one of the intro scenes that I filmed was a long shot. The last intro scenes were me moving around imitating the song. I also filmed multiple shots of all these scenes so I can have a variety of shots to choose from.
The second most important scenes were the lip-syncing scene. I did multiple versions of lip-syncing the song hostage.  The first lip-syncing scene that I shot was a close up me lip-syncing. The second lip-syncing scene that I did was also a close-up but in this shot, I was doing head movements that matched the song. Other lip-syncing scenes that I shot was a medium close up as well a long shot with just my lips moving. I reshot these scenes about 3 or 4 times each. I also did a lip-sync scene with paint that is supposed to resemble blood. I also filmed this shot 4 times as well. Then I shot the bathtub scene. The first scene that I shot in the bathroom was a sort of an establishing shot of me in the bathtub. Also, I shot a scene where the camera comes toward me and I look at the camera. I also shot multiple scenes of me lip-syncing in the bathtub. All these things occurred during the filming process
